behind the brand
Rooted in hard work, shaped by experience, and built with a vision for the future.
Ramblin Ranch is a family-run cow/calf operation located just northwest of Calgary in Rocky View County, Alberta. What started small has grown into a focused program built on practicality, performance, and pride in our cattle. While our foundation is in the Shorthorn breed, we’ve recently expanded to include Maine Anjou — adding another layer of performance and versatility to better serve today’s commercial cattle industry.
Jeremy brings a lifetime of agricultural experience, from his early years on a mixed farm to over 15 years with Alta Genetics, where he’s developed a strong background in cattle reproduction and beef genetics. That knowledge plays a key role in our breeding decisions, as we focus on raising functional, reliable cattle that deliver real-world results.
Christine’s path into agriculture began through horses, where she built and managed a successful Miniature Horse program from the ground up. Her hands-on experience, combined with a passion for marketing and design, now supports both Ramblin Ranch and others in the livestock industry through creative storytelling and promotion.
Together, we’ve built Ramblin Ranch to reflect who we are — hardworking, grounded, and committed to producing quality cattle. As we continue to grow, we’re excited about the opportunities ahead and proud of the program we’re building.

BUILDING OUR LEGACY
Focused on raising practical, performance-driven cattle for today—and for the future.
Our journey with both Shorthorn and Maine Anjou cattle is still in its early chapters, but it’s one we’re proud to be writing. What began with a few cattle and a genuine interest in the Shorthorn breed has grown into a clear vision — building a program rooted in quality, purpose, and pride, now strengthened by the addition of Maine Anjou genetics.
We were first drawn to Shorthorns for their gentle temperament, strong maternal instincts, and practical, moderate build. They’re cattle that work hard, raise a good calf, and hold up over time — traits that laid the foundation for the kind of herd we’re building. As our program has evolved, Maine Anjou have become a natural fit, adding performance, muscle, and extra growth while maintaining the functionality we value.
As our program grows, so does our appreciation for the versatility these breeds offer. Whether in purebred form or as part of a crossbreeding program, Shorthorn and Maine Anjou cattle complement each other — combining maternal strength, performance, and carcass quality to deliver real-world value for commercial producers.
We know building a program — and a name — takes time, but we’re here for the long haul. Our focus is on raising functional, sound, and honest cattle that reflect the strengths of both breeds. We’re working every day to build something lasting — a legacy that honors where these breeds have been and helps shape where they’re going.
